A padded headcollar from The Canny Company, made for large and giant breeds. Like the Canny Collar, the lead clips on behind your dog's head, not under the chin.
- Brand: The Canny Company (Australia), Black Rock, Victoria. Genuine Canny product.
- Size: one size, for necks of about 58–67 cm measured just behind the ears (manufacturer's size guide). For smaller necks, see the Canny Collar.
- How it works (manufacturer's description): the collar fastens around the neck like a regular collar, and a soft single noseband sits over the muzzle. With the lead loose, your dog can open their mouth to pant and drink.
- Fitting: fasten the collar around the neck, attach your lead behind the head, then place the noseband over the muzzle, as shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
- Off-lead: take the noseband off the muzzle and clip it under the chin with the supplied carabiners.
- Delivery: sent directly by the brand, usually dispatched the same or next business day. Delivery usually takes 2–8 business days after dispatch (WA, NT, TAS and regional areas can take longer). The delivery cost is shown at checkout, before you pay. Free delivery on Canny orders of A$49 or more.
- Returns: change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging (see our Refund Policy). This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Important (manufacturer's guidance): use the Canny Colossus for walks and training only, not as your dog's everyday collar. Never attach the lead to the carabiners.
Before you choose: if your dog pulls, the RSPCA suggests trying loose-lead training and a front-attach harness first. A head collar suits some dogs after that; fit it exactly as the maker describes. Our note Fit comes before colour has more.
